Adult Therapy

Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. -Aristotle

I provide client-centered, compassionate therapy rooted in relational neuroscience. Relational neuroscience uses the most recent understandings from brain science to make therapy more effective.

Common symptoms leading people to come to therapy are anxiety, depression, fears, addictions, or sleeping problems. Some people identify wanting to heal from trauma or to improve their relationships.

Jargon Corner

I try to avoid using too much jargon because it can feel alienating. However, sometimes people are looking for a particular type of therapy. Some modalities that I incorporate are Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioral/Dialectical Behavioral Therapies.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Together, we will assess your most pressing needs and concerns to determine the best therapeutic approach for you. I incorporate talk therapy, mindfulness, expressive therapies--like sand tray, drawing, collage, or writing-- and EMDR to support healing.
